Happy puppy time

IMG_0639

George having a good time on the bed.

So today is day 5 since George had his right front leg amputated.  He is a much happier puppy now!!  His sutures/staples come out in another 9 days which will make him even happier.  He is a little depressed that he cannot play with his sister Fay or our other Border collies but he lights up like a fire cracker when he is around them.  The older collies have been very gentle with him when they are in the house with him.

George is having no problem navigating the house or yard.

Thanks to everyone for the good wishes for him!

Life changing news for George

Today George and his people learned that he needs to get his right front leg amputated.  George’s leg and paw were injured at birth and have never grown correctly.

So technically, George is still a quad but this will change in 4 days.  George’s people are very sad but also happy that soon George will be in no pain.  Our vet is wonderful and we know that George will soon be running and playing with his family like any normal 5 month old Border collie.George

This is a photo of George at 2 months.

Wish George luck in his life!!
